This sensory kit for kids is (unless I make too many!) exclusively available as part of the monthly sensory box subscription to Messy Play Kits. To sign up for a monthly subscription of art and science activities for kids, click here

In the Famous Artists 2 Kit, your little will paint a self-portrait using a mirror like Frida Kahlo, practice close up painting with a magnifying glass like Georgia O'Keeffe, pour paint like Helen Frankenthaler, and papier-mâché sculptures like Lauren Clay. These kid’s activities allow for a creative learning process, one where they experiment with various materials and techniques and come up with their own ideas!

The Famous Artists 2 Kit includes the following activities for kids:

1) Mirror and Self-Portrait Paint Activity

2) Magnifying Glass and Paint Activity

3) Pour Paint Activity

4) Papier-Mâché Sculpture Activity

The kit comes with materials and instructions for these four sensory kid’s activities, as well as an affiliated website with detailed photo instructions, educational resources, and extra ideas for learning games for kids that you can play with your child. You'll be able to see how your child is learning through play through these open ended art and science activities, how you can extend their learning, as well as enjoy quality time together.

All kits are for ages 3 and up, and contain non-toxic, washable materials.

Take a look at my blog post, Process-Based Art: Open-Ended Art Activities for Preschoolers, to learn more about how this sensory kit can encourage your child to practice process-based art!

Meet Robin

Founder and maker of Messy Play Kits

As a former preschool teacher with degrees in child development and psychology, I’ve seen first-hand how children learn best through play. My 10+ years of research and education experience go into every box I create so kids can learn about their world using all their senses.
